St Mary de Haura / BN43

Grade 1 listed church founded c.1103, with much C12 structure remaining. Of Norman and Transitional style using stone, flint, and cobbles. The flying buttresses to the clerestorey are early examples of this structural technique. The funds for the building may have been sourced from the harbour taxes of that era. Church Street, Shoreham by Sea, Sussex, UK.
