Archway / Methodist Church

Architects: George E and K G Withers, 1934, in an Art Deco style. Part-sponsored by J Arthur Rank. The church is now incorporated into the Central Hall Buildings; the large Archway Central Hall itself (behind) was sold by the Methodists in 2001 and is currently the subject of redevelopment proposals. Within the St John’s Grove Conservation Area, London Borough of Islington.

My AF Nikkor 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 D

Nikon's first hybrid aspherical (PAG) lens, this example bought by me in 1993 and still producing sharp results on a D850's 45.7Mpx sensor (see previous image in this stream). What's most remarkable is its diminutive size and weight. Cost GBP300 new, but you can buy used ones today for around GBP50!
