Water Tower / Lambeth

Water tower built 1877 to a Venetian Gothic design of Fowler and Hill, as part of Lambeth Workhouse and Infirmary (Grade II listing). Subjected to an unusual residential conversion featured in a TV programme called Grand Designs, 2012. London Borough of Lambeth.

Left, Strata by BFLS Architects, 2010. This 43-storey residential tower was recipient of the 2010 Carbuncle Cup. With 3 wind-turbines at the top which I have never seen turning. 

Right, Draper House designed by the LCC Architect's Department under Hubert Bennett, 1965. This 25-storey tower was part of a residential estate that also included four 5-storey blocks. London Borough of Southwark.
