Octagonal, brick kiln built for the lime works of E.R. Burtt, founded in 1816. At the time this was close to the Grand Surrey Canal. Kilns like this were used to turn limestone into quicklime for use in mortar. Grade II listed. In Burgess Park, London Borough of Southwark.
