ExCeL, (Exhibition Centre London), opened in 2000 and Phase II completed this year. It has become a world-class convention venue and will host seven Olympic events in 2012. There are 100,000 sq m of covered space, alongside the north quay of the old Royal Victoria Dock. It is served by 3 DLR stations and 5 on-site hotels with another in construction.
