Gunthorpe St / E1

West facade of the Victorian Whitechapel Board of Works refuse destructor building built (1900) in red brick with segmental arches, saw-tooth roof and round windows in the pediments. This facade was retained when the interior was rebuilt (1997) into light-industrial units. Previously known as Gunthorpe Street Workshops, now called Sherrington Mews. London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
