Eastbourne Pier / 20250806

Originally designed and engineered by Eugenius Birch, 1870, supported on cast iron screwpiles. Superstructure buildings are constructed of wood with some cast iron and zinc roofs. The Grade 2* listing mentions that with the loss of Brighton's West Pier, Eastbourne's is now the finest of Birch's surviving seaside piers. East Sussex, UK.
