Architect: Charles Holden, 1933, reinforced concrete, Cornish granite and glazing within steel frames. Circular underground station in the Streamline Moderne Art Deco style. The design of the exuberant roof finial was adopted from the 1930 Stockholm Exhibition, according to English Heritage.
