Pedn-olva / St Ives

On the site of a former copper mine which operated in St Ives during the 1700s. The Pedn Olva Hotel now stands where the mine's engine house was demolished in 1911. The name is Cornish for 'lookout headland'. St Ives, Cornwall. [Source: www.intocornwall.com/engine/azabout.asp?guide=Pedn+Olva+Mine].
