Pillar Box / 1853
Guernsey's oldest pillar box, installed 1853 on Union Street. Made by the foundry of Vaudin & Son in Jersey, cast iron, about four feet high, octagonal in design. This is also the only Guernsey pillar box painted red rather than the usual blue colour. St Peter Port, Guernsey, CI.
