According to historical records the Turk family were ferrymen and fishermen as far back as Tudor times. R.J.Turk & Sons was established c.1710 as a boat building business. Boat building has relocated to Chatham in Kent, although boat trips along the Thames remain. Kingston upon Thames, London.
