Lime Kiln / SE5
Octagonal, brick kiln built for the lime works of E.R. Burtt, founded in 1816. At the time this was close to the Grand Surrey Canal. Kilns like this were used to turn limestone into quicklime for use in mortar. Grade II listed. In Burgess Park, London Borough of Southwark.

Former Church of St George designed by Francis Bedford, 1824, in the Greek Revival style. Staged tower with Doric and Ionic orders. Grade II listed in 1954. Converted to residential in 1994. London Borough of Southwark.
