House once the residence of Hilaire Belloc — poet, essayist, historian — from 1900 to 1905. Earlier, the residence of artist Walter Greaves who lived here 1855-1897. Other artists to have lived on Cheyne Walk include J.M.W.Turner, Dante Gabriel Rossetti and James McNeill Whistler. This was before the Chelsea Embankment was constructed, when the houses then fronted onto the river Thames. Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, London.
