Schoolmaster's House / E1

Architects: James Tolley and Robert Dale, 1874, in a revival of Tudor and Gothic styles. This south wing of the Christ Church Primary School was originally the schoolmaster's house. It comprises two storeys and a roof garret, in red-brick with blue-brick and stone dressings. Grade II listed. Brick Lane, London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

MDF&CTA / South Park Gardens

Grade II listed drinking fountain and cattle trough, with dog/sheep trough below. Made of granite, installed Sep 1879. The cattle trough is now planted with flowers. The Metropolitan Drinking Fountain & Cattle Trough Association was once:

"the ONLY AGENCY for providing FREE SUPPLIES OF WATER FOR MAN AND BEAST in the STREETS of LONDON".

Early C16, possibly earlier. Chalk clunch construction with red-brick quoins and some knapped flint in the plinth. Hipped tile roof with timber louvre and metal weathervane. Thought to be the oldest building in Mitcham. Grade II listed. London Borough of Merton.

Manufactured by Gillett and Johnston, 1897, and restored by the same firm in 2014. Originally donated by Charles Ernest Tritton MP, to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. The tower is made of cast-iron and is listed Grade II. London Borough of Lambeth.

Built c.1900, "lived in at the time by a park keeper and his wife." Vernacular style with an odd neo-classical flourish. Renovated 2012 and now used as a community centre and for hire. Near the Norwood Gate in Brockwell Park, London Borough of Lambeth.

The former Milton Arms, first on the left, has late Tudor origins near the site of a medieval friary. The stone blocks are from Portland and the building is Grade II listed. St Alban Street was earlier known as Petticoat Lane or Petit Cour Lane. Weymouth, Dorset, England.
