Palais Gounod / Nice

Architect: Charles Bellon, 1906, in the style known as 'Belle Epoch' (Beautiful Era) and typical of the architecture in Nice from the 1870s to 1914. The style was flamboyant and highly decorated, often including Art Nouveau detailing. Bellon, who designed at least 40 such residences in Nice, won a civic architectural award for this building.
