Architect: Edmund Scott of Brighton, 1874. Usually described as neo-Gothic or Italian Gothic style with neo-Classical, Byzantine and Arts & Crafts influences. Pevsner said it's “one of the most tremendous 19th-century churches in the world” and it's Grade 1 listed, but it has also come in for some criticism over the years.
