According to Merton's Photographic Archive this was originally
known as Warren House, built during the reign of Queen Anne. The name derives from Francis Platamone, Duke of Cannizzaro, who leased the property following his marriage to a Scottish heiress. (1814). The building is also now known as the Hotel du Vin. Wimbledon, London Borough of Merton.
