Hanois Lighthouse / Guernsey

Designed by James Douglass et al  for Trinity House, 1862, situated on Les Hanois reef. The tower is 36m high, constructed of interlocking Cornish granite blocks. A helideck was added in 1979. Guernsey, Channel Islands.

Pleinmont Tower / I

Observation tower MP3 built 1943 during Wehrmacht occupation of Guernsey, part of the Atlantic Wall. 2m thick ferro-concrete, constructed using a continuous-pour method in just 7 weeks. Torteval, Guernsey, Channel Islands.

Weighbridge Clock Tower / GY1

Date-stone indicates 1891 although the building needed partial restoration after WW2 bomb damage. In a vernacular style with elements of Romanesque Revival, using ashlar and rusticated masonry. St Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands.

Town Church / St Peter Port

Present building constructed C13 - 1466. Formally known as the Church of St Peter, Apostle and Martyr, probably after an earlier chapel on the site known as Sancti Petri du Portu Mari. Mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records for being closest church to a pub in the British Isles (measured from the gargoyle to the white Albion House Tavern).
