Fountain / Bessborough Gdns

• Cast-aluminium fountain of 1982 designed by Sir Peter Shepheard (1913-2002), who was also landscape architect for the surrounding gardens. The formal name is the Queen Mother's Commemorative Fountain and it incorporates a likeness of G J Vulliamy's entwined dolphins, as seen on lamp standards along the embankment.
