The Artemision Bronze / Zeus

Detail of bronze sculpture of the god Zeus (or poss. Poseidon) discovered in the sea off Cape Artemision, in northern Euboea. From the early Classical period, c.460BC., and probably a votive for a temple in its first place.  Now at the National Archaeological Museum. Athens, Greece.
